The trailer for Hitman Episode 5 is out, and according to developer IO Interactive, it’s the hardest one to successfully complete for Season 1. The episode also includes a small but noticeable jab at presidential candidate Donald Trump, which seems to be becoming a trend now.
Episode 5 of Hitman is titled “Freedom Fighters” and involves a farm full of militiamen who are supposedly standing up to the government. Agent 47’s job is to infiltrate the compound to take out four targets, which is two more than the next most difficult episode, Gamespot reports.
In celebration of the release of the fifth episode, Square Enix also released a trailer showing many of the different ways that players could go about accomplishing the mission. It also showcases several methods of killing the targets. Some of them are fun, some are just plain gruesome.
With regards to the difficulty involved in actually carrying out the assassination, IO Interactive had actually already hinted that it would be, several weeks ago. Hannes Seifer, the head of the studio also explained at the time that episode 5 would be a turning point for the game as the season ends.
Mission difficulty aside, it would seem that the developers managed to squeeze in some Trump jabs in the game, Movie News Guide reports. The joke is tied to the setting of the episode itself, where an anti-government group is staying in the farm compound. Anyone who has been paying attention to the news will easily see the connection between the fictional group and the Ted Bundy fiasco.
In any case, once players get to a certain part of the mission, they will overhear a discussion regarding a presidential candidate with a “famous hairdo.” One of the men is apparently a fan and proceeds to say that said the candidate is “composed” and uses actual “facts” during his arguments. With news outlets effectively outing Trump for lying every three minutes or so, it’s hard to mistake who the dissidents are talking about.
